StopTech's Unique Directional Rotor Hat

The outer face of a brake rotor runs hotter than the inner face.  This can result in rotor distortion, which increases stress and reduces life expectancy of the rotor.  The outer brake pads also wear faster due to the higher temperature.  StopTech's patent pending AeroHat™ uses directional standoffs between the rotor and the hat that increase airflow to the outside face of the rotor by between 50 and 100%.  The increased airflow promotes even temperatures between inner and outer rotor faces and reduces rotor distortion and outer pad wear.
