Zeckhausen Racing has relocated!
On Friday, February 15, Zeckhausen Racing moved from our 80,000 square foot
industrial park facility in Florham Park, New Jersey to a new, state-of-the-art
facility in Fairfield, NJ, which we share with our new parent company
Unique Photo. (You can
see their latest TV
commercial here.) The new location, at 123 Route 46 West, is an
easy drive from New York City, Connecticut and most of New Jersey. At the
same time, we're upgrading our enterprise management system, barcoding all parts
and modernizing our parts distribution and warehousing. You'll see lots of
changes at Zeckhausen Racing in 2008, all to help us serve our
customers better and manage our rapid growth without sacrificing our famous
customer service.

Zeckhausen Racing adds Marc Albert to staff
Marc Albert joins Zeckhausen Racing as a sales consultant and installer.
Marc is an ASE Master certified technician with L1 (engine drivability) and X1
(exhaust) certification. He is also an experienced race car driver, having
clinched the D-Street Prepared autocross championship in NNJ SCCA and winning
EMRA time trial championships in both ST-2 (2003) and ST-3 (2005) classes.
He is currently the Chief Instructor for
EMRA and coaches drivers individually as well as conducting classroom
sessions at each EMRA event. Marc brings a strong technical background to
his position, as well as relevant experience in racing and wrenching. This
makes him an excellent resource for helping our customers select the best brake
products for their needs, as well as providing pre and post-sales technical
support. Please join us in welcoming Marc to the Zeckhausen Racing family.

Grand-AM GT Classic Races at Lime Rock Park
David and Maria Zeckhausen spent Memorial Day weekend enjoying the Grand-AM GT
Classic races at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut, thanks to a pair of VIP passes
from StopTech. We had full access to the pits, even during the races,
allowing us to get close-up to all the action. Some photos of the weekend
activity may be found here:

Corvette Advanced Driving
School at Spring Mountain, Nevada
Zeckhausen Racing closed for the week so Dave and Maria Zeckhausen could attend
the
Corvette Advanced
Driving School at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada.
Spring Mountain uses current year Corvette Z51 and Z06 models. Since Maria
just acquired a 2007 Corvette Z51 (a birthday surprise!), this gave her the
opportunity to become more proficient in her new car before the start of the
2007 track season. Many of our track sessions took place in the 505 hp
Corvette Z06, which is one of the world's fastest and most powerful sports cars.
We both had a great time and heartily recommend this school to anyone who wishes
to hone their track skills in a powerful, rear wheel drive sports car. The
staff and instructors at Spring Mountain are world class and the facilities are
second to none. Of all the driving and racing schools we've attended over
the years, this provided the most seat time (over 300 miles!) with a reasonable
mix of classroom sessions.

Zeckhausen Racing is StopTech's Top
Retailer for 2006
For the
fourth year in a row, Zeckhausen Racing was
StopTech's top retailer. As we expand later this year into a larger
facility, we plan to cement that position again for 2007 by continuing to offer
the best customer service, technical advice and quality products - but on a much
larger scale. Thanks again to our loyal customers for making this all
possible!

Noble Extreme Drive at Lime Rock Park
Zeckhausen Racing closed for the day so Dave Zeckhausen could take advantage of
a generous offer by
Atlantic Sports
Car Company and
1G Racing to drive the
Noble M12 and M400 at Lime Rock Park race track. Accompanying Dave in the
passenger seat, to help fine tune his racing line, was
Mark
DaVia, three-time (consecutive!) winner of the
Cannonball One Lap of America
race. (2nd photo)
The Noble is one of the best handling road legal cars in the
world, with a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds and is capable of lapping Lime Rock
Park in under one minute on street tires. This is the most capable and
exhilarating road car Zeckhausen Racing has ever experienced at the track and is
a must-have for the addicted (and affluent) track junkie. We give it two thumbs up!
AutoWeek Magazine agrees, publishing rave reviews in a cover story in the
December
11, 2006 edition.

SRT Track Experience at Lime Rock Park
Zeckhausen Racing closed to take advantage of the
SRT Track Experience at Lime
Rock Park race track in Connecticut. SRT owners were invited by
Daimler-Chrysler to come to the track and spend a day driving the SRT6
Crossfire, SRT8 Charger, Magnum, and 300C (even the SRT8 Jeep!) at speed on the
race track. Senior instructors from Skip Barber Racing School were on hand
to provide coaching and keep the novices out of trouble. It was a great
way for Daimler-Chrysler to show off the high speed capabilities of their SRT
vehicles and a nice break from the normal daily office routine.

For the
third year in a row, Zeckhausen Racing was
named by StopTech as their #1 retailer in the world! We sold more StopTech

Seminar: "Applying Brake Controls to Vehicle Dynamics"
Dave Zeckhausen
attended a seminar taught by
James
Walker, a well known expert in brake system design, an author, and an accomplished race
car driver. This seminar builds upon the foundations of last year's "Introduction
to Brake Control Systems" and goes into greater technical depth on ABS
optimization, dynamic rear proportioning, lateral and longitudinal dynamics, and
the use of modern brake systems to affect vehicle dynamics.
James Walker has written a comprehensive book on brakes,
"High-Performance
Brake Systems," which began shipping in January 2007. We reviewed the first
draft and have now received the final copy. We strongly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in brakes.
You can order your copy by clicking

Thanks to hot pit passes donated by StopTech, Maria and David Zeckhausen were
able to enjoy the SPEED World Challenge races (Touring & GT) and the 53rd Annual

In order to improve our ability to recommend
appropriate race friction and to troubleshoot brake problems, Dave Zeckhausen
attended a "Friction" seminar taught by Rob Nelson, a 35 year veteran of the
brake industry and former President of Hawk's race friction division. The
class covered a wide range of topics, including racing brake pad construction,
failure modes, diagnostics, and future directions in the industry.
Zeckhausen Racing emphasizes continuous education
in order to provide the best service and advice in the brake business. We
will continue to attend seminars and classes and solicit feedback from racers in
order to provide the most up-to-date and quality recommendations to our

Seminar: "Introduction
to Brake Control Systems"
In an effort to better understand modern brake
systems, including ABS, dynamic stability control, and electronic brake force
distribution and how they interact with aftermarket upgrades, Dave Zeckhausen
attended a seminar hosted by StopTech at their Torrance, California facility.
The class was taught by
James
Walker, a well known expert in brake system design and an accomplished race
car driver. We strongly recommend this class to anyone interested in
understanding thoroughly how all those "black box" devices interact with each
other and how they are affected by brake upgrades, friction choices, suspension
upgrades, and wheel & tire changes.

annual RogueFEST open house event at Rogue Engineering in HoHoKus, NJ.
There were demonstrations of an
E39 BMW CDV modification, performance
transmission mount installation, transmission fluid swap to Royal Purple
Synchromax, fender rolling, and a performance pulley installation.
StopTech big brake kits were on hand to
pick up and see in person and Dave Zeckhausen was there to answer
brake tech questions.
The weatherman predicted heavy rain and thunder,
but we were spared the worst and, shortly after the event started, the rain
stopped. Attendance was terrific.

November 5 - 8, 2002
David Zeckhausen headed off to the
Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) 2002 trade show in Las Vegas,
