Pressure Seals
Pistons should be measured directly to determine outside diameter, before ordering replacement pressure seals. However, many Brembo calipers utilize dust boots with a visible part number. If so, you may use the table below to determine piston size.
If part number is not visible, the rule of thumb is that dust boot outside diameter is 10mm larger than piston outside diameter. For example, a Brembo caliper with a 50mm outside diameter dust boot means the corresponding piston diameter is 40mm.
Most multi-piston calipers use staggered piston sizes. Do not assume all pistons are the same size.
